Every time there’s a wet winter that may lead to a wildflower superbloom in Death Valley, I think to myself I should get out there. As always, I never do.
I suspect I won’t be flying anywhere for a couple of years, and the Jeep certainly isn’t reliable enough to make the long drive even if my back could withstand it. May never happen now.

There is a trail of Autozones and Advance Auto stores from Indiana to Death Va lley ya know. Kinda the opposite of the Rubicon Trail, but it'll get you there. J/K...I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Especially a fellow oppo.jeeper..

We had just been hit by a supercell. Wind pulled one of our staked tents tight out of the grown.

The picture was the calm before the storm by the sound of it. No harm done I take it?

No damage done and we recovered the tent. The pup later decided he’d rather sleep outside and ripped a hole in the netting which he then jumped through.

Ah yes, that part of dogs and camping don't mix.

He’s learning. He wanted to be in the parental tent and not the kids’ tent. He’s slowly learning that keeping an eye on the kiddos are apart of his duties.
